Camera Work -- Camera-ready art can be provided in hard copy format, on a disk, or emailed to LaderaTimes@cox.net. Emailed copy or copy provided on a disk  must be in Photoshop or PDF format. Good quality color or black & white photos are acceptable. The better the quality, the better the reproduction. Emailed photos or photos provided on a disk should be 200 ppi (pixels per inch) or large photos as low as 72 ppi. Small photo files at 72 ppi will look blurred when bumped up to 200 ppi.

Ad rates are based on camera-ready art. Art work, layouts, design, halftones, enlargements, reductions, and other copy requiring preparation will be billed at $60 per hour in 5-minute increments.

Ad copy must be received by published ad deadline or previous ad will run as is, if applicable. Ads requiring proofs must be submitted at least one week before the ad deadline. Proofs are provided only on request for verification of layout and content; any changes will be billed at $60 per hour in 5-minute increments.

Advertiser may cancel a 12-issue contract by submitting the request for cancellation in writing along with payment in full for any outstanding balance due, plus payment for the difference between the discount rate and the next applicable higher discount rate or the Open Rate, which ever is lower, for all ads that were published. No cancellations or changes can be accepted after the ad deadline for a given issue.

All advertising rates are non-commissionable.

Payment for ads is due prior to publication unless acceptable credit arrangements have been made, in which case advertisers will be billed on the first of each month, and payment is due by the 10th of each month. A 1.5% per month service charge (18% per annum), or a minimum of $5, will be assessed balances over 30 days.

Contracts with delinquent balances over 60 days will be cancelled and rebilled at the next applicable higher discount rate or the Open Rate, which ever is lower, for all ads that were published. Action will be taken to collect unpaid balances. The advertiser and its advertising agency, if any, indemnify Ladera Times from all expenses, including court costs and attorney fees, incurred in action to collect delinquent balances. Returned checks will be charged $30 and must be paid for in cash within 48 hours.

The advertiser and its advertising agency, if any, assume liability for all content including text, representation and illustrations of advertisements, and assume responsibility for claims arising therefrom made against the publisher. The advertiser and advertising agency, if any, indemnify Ladera Times from all damages, costs, and expenses of any nature whatsoever, including attorney fees, for which Ladera Times may become liabile by reason of publication of an advertisement.

If an error occurs in an ad due to the fault of Ladera Times, an appropriate billing adjustment will be made consistent with the magnitude of the error but not to exceed the total cost of the ad. The adjustment will apply only to the one specific ad appearing at the time of the notification of the error by the advertiser, which must be made prior to publcation of the next issue.

Publisher reserves the right to identify material resembling editorial copy with the words "paid advertisement." The publisher is not bound by any conditions not stated in this contract. All ads are subject to the publisher’s approval.
