Friday, July 11
n Ladera Ranch Community Services (LARCS) kicks off a summer of concerts and movies tonight at the Town Green, located on the corner of Sienna Parkway and Mercantile Way next to the Mercantile West Shopping Center, The fun begins this with a Reggae music concert by Lesterfari and the Kings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

n The Ladera Car Club meets every the 2nd Sunday of every month at 8:00 am in the WAMU/Pacific Whey parking lot in Mercantile West Shopping Plaza, Mercantile Way and 1st Street.
Friday, July 18
n The annual LARCS "Movies in the Park" series begins tonight at the Town Green, located on the corner of Sienna Parkway and Mercantile Way next to the Mercantile West Shopping Plaza with the showing of the 1990s remake of "The Little Rascals" at dusk (about 8:00 pm).
Wednesday, July 23
n LARCS Open Sessions are the 4th Wednesday of every other month (odd months) at the Avendale Clubhouse, Avendale Boulevard and Daisy, beginning at 5:30 pm. The open session gives residents an opportunity to ask questions of the board and provide feedback on issues that pertain to LARCS. The Board meets in a closed Executive Session from 3:00 to 5:30 pm prior to the Open Session.
Friday, July 25
n Knight Ryder will rock to hit cover songs from the 80’s during the second "Concert in the Park" beginning starting at 6:30 pm at the Town Green, located on the corner of Sienna Parkway and Mercantile Way, next to the Mercantile West Shopping Plaza. Back by popular demand, this band knows how to engage the crowd. Bring your own picnic or enjoy takeout from a local restaurant. A concession stand also will serve movie goodies such as popcorn, candy, ice cream, and soft drinks.
Friday, August 1
n Concert in the Park series will continue with a performance by the
Hi-Fi Quintet, performing the sounds of jazz from the birth of big bands to the 50’s and 60’s at 6:30 pm at the Town Green, located on the corner of Sienna Parkway and Mercantile Way, next to the Mercantile West Shopping Plaza. The band is comprised of five music virtuosos with a laundry list of accomplishments. Individually, every member has worked with a range of renowned musical personalities. Together, the band has garnered an impressive list of accomplishments. They continue to deliver timeless music with a Rat-Pack punch. n Old Fashioned Christmas in the Avendale Clubhouse parking lot, 1 Daisy Street, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm with real snow, refreshments, hot coffee and cocoa, and carolers. Presented by Front Street Realty, the 4th annual event is free with the donation of a canned food for the food bank.
