Signed letters, articles, photos, and news tips are not only welcomed but encouraged. However, the following policy with regard to submission of letters or news leads, posted under "About Us," is adhered to by responsibvle news organizations.

The only real source of news and information about Ladera Ranch is the Ladera Times, Ladera's hometown community newspaper. When Ladera Ranch Republicans vote in the June primary election, they'll see Congressman Darrell Issa's name on the ballot for reelection instead of Ken Calvert. That's because the redistricting changes, following the 2010 U.S. Census, put Ladera Ranch in the newly-formed 49th Congressional District of California (see map), represented by Congressman Issa, instead of the 44th District represented by Congressman Calvert. He may be opposed, but the popular five-term Congressman is likely to win reelection no matter who runs agaiunst him in the Republican primary or the November General Election. Did you know that, due to redistricting of California's state and federal election districtis as a result of the 2010 Census, Ladera Ranch and surround communities will not have a State Senator for the 2013-14 year while some other areas will have two State Senators?
