Hunter, Doyle, & Patterson Win
Two-Year Terms on LRCC Board
In the Ladera Ranch Civic Council's (LRCC) first-ever election, Josh Hunter, Greg Doyle, and Michelle Patterson were elected to the LRCC's Board of Directors. Of the 476 votes cast, Josh Hunter received 145, Greg Doyle received 137, and Michelle Patterson received 125. The fourth candidate, Jeff Hamilton trailed the pack with 69 votes.
Elizabeth Hall, former LRCC vice president who was up for reelection, withdrew her candidacy so as to avoid a conflict of interest when she accepted an appointment to the Orange County Planning Commission by County 5th District Supervisor Pat Bates.
The unique online voting for three Directors openings was conducted over a seven day period from September 17-23, 2009, among Ladera Ranch residents who registered to vote by September 7.
Registration, which was free and also conducted online, totalled 390 residents, 192 of which actually cast ballots. The LRCC was formed a year ago by community leaders to meet the increasingly complex civic needs of the growing community of Ladera Ranch, specifically in the areas of public safety, planning and public works.
Residents are encouraged to register and support the Ladera Ranch Civic Council for the benefit of the community. The LRCC holds monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Board Room of the Santa Margarita Water District located at
26111 Antonio Parkway in Las Flores To learn more about the LRCC, click on Ladera Ranch Civic Council.
