'Open Mike' Has Hot Guests and
Hot Issues on 'OCTalkRadio.net'
Aired every Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, Open Mike features residents and business people of Ladera Ranch who have an interesting story to tell or subject to discuss. In addition, Jim often "goes rogue and flies without a net" (meaning alone and without a script) with his East-Coast liberal media biased comments like those published in the Ladera Times that have stirred up much discussion in the community. Go to www.OCTalkRadio.net, and click on "Shows" and then "Ladera Times." You may have to go through iTunes at no cost, and you're good to go.
The best part is, listeners can call in (949-713-6443) to talk with the guests and add their inputs to the dialogue. And a new Twitter-based chat-room has been added to the show. Just click on the Twitter Chat Button to carry on a dialogue with the Jim or other Tweeters. Recent guests have included such distinguished community leaders as q Peter Cross, President of the Ladera Rancho Chamber of Commerce;
q Roger Redden, Farmers Insurance Agent and conservative pundit; q Jeana Keough (shown with Jim in the photo above, left), star of Bravo's most popular show, The Real Housewives of Orange County (photo left);
q Cathy Berlin, Realtor extraordinaire;
q Dan Lauriano, owner of Riptide Rockin’ Sushi & Teppan Grills and the Derby Deli & Dueling Piano Bar, located in the Kaleidoscope Shopping Center;
q Andrea McCallister, Director of Laura's House in Ladera, devoted to preventing domestic violence in the United States. The show can be heard at www.octalkradio.net from 2:00 to 3:00 pm every Wednesday. Re-runs of prior shows are also available at www.OCTalkRadio.net so you can catch up on past discussions.
If you're not listening to Ladera Times Editor and Publisher Jim Schmitt's weekly talk show, "Open Mike" on www.OCTalkRadio.net, you're missing a lot of fun, arguments, and dialogue as Jim and his guests deal with the hot topics of the day.
q Ram Mukherji, former California School Board Trustee, former Prresident of LARMAX, and regular columnist in the Ladera Times on Capistrano Unified School District matters;
q Lori Coble, who was fighting with Caltrans over a dangerous I-5 South off ramp at the OSO Exit; and
q Tamra Barney, star of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" reality show on Bravo.
